Leaders know if they do not properly prepare, then they cannot perform with excellence. One of the critical preparation areas is to make sure everyone is clear on the objective and their role in the assignment. One of the most common failures is to move on too quickly without learning everything possible about the actual results measured against the stated goals. This Forbes post was excellent:
