Church Scattered: Why So Much Evil Right Now?

People have argued over the centuries about the idea of how could a loving God allow any evil in the world. When you read the first few chapters in Genesis you will clearly see that was not His desire.

As a matter of fact, if you read the last two chapters of the bible you will see that His eternal plan for all of creation is the elimination of any evil, pain or suffering. The even better question for the entire human race then is why would a holy God who is also just be so incredibly merciful and kind?

His plan is to provide both redemption and restoration so that as many people as possible could come to know Him through faith in Jesus Christ. He has patiently allowed the existence of evil in the world so that the maximum number of people can be saved.

The bible teaches us that God uses His restraining grace as a means to limit the negative impact of evil in the world. When His restraining grace was removed prior to the flood judgment, the bible says that the thoughts of the human race became only evil continuously.

I believe that during the great tribulation the exact same thing will happen. When His grace is removed from the world, people will curse God in the midst of judgment rather than repent.

In my opinion, the reason we are seeing so much violence and horrifying evil right now is the Father is allowing us to see what happens when His restraining grace is reduced in the world. Only He knows how long this will last because He is God and we are not.

As Christians living daily in the church scattered, we must shift our focus from what is happening to why it is happening. We should be daily praying for revival among Christians globally and a great spiritual awakening that will bring millions into the kingdom.

I cannot just pray that He stops it all so that my life can be better. I know what He is doing and why, so I chose to be patient in these extremely difficult days.

Rest in the grip of His grace and completely trust in His sovereign plan because He does all things for our good and His glory.   This is our time and may we run with endurance the race before us so that others will find the peace and forgiveness that only comes through Jesus Christ.
