Church Scattered: When Will All This Be Over?

Never in this lifetime.  When you go through a disruption this dramatic there is no such thing as returning to the way things were before.  These last seven months have brought a lot of pain, suffering and stress.  However, this may be the greatest opportunity in your lifetime to create the new life the Father wants for you.

He wants you as a Christian to live out your faith in the church scattered starting with leading yourself, then your home and finally taking your faith to work with you.  He wants your faith not to be just primarily a Sunday thing but a Monday through Saturday thing as well.

One of the major life principles in Church Scattered is to work on the things that you can control and pray about the rest. Never confuse the two; worrying about things you cannot change and only praying about the things you can.  In Covey’s great work 7 Habits of Highly Effective People that is the difference between your circle of influence and your circle of concern.

Throughout human history the Father has been using these times of major disruption as a way to change the priorities of His people and to reveal Himself to a world that desperately needs to know Him.  This should cause every Christian to take all of this very seriously on the one hand and then to rest in His grace that He will do what is best for your good and His glory.

Don’t waste this disruption and be sure to trust in His providence and provision during these next few months.  The Father is on a mission of redemption and restoration because He knows that some day this will indeed all end.

Nothing is out of control in heaven and His sovereign plan is right on track.  He invites us as Christians to represent Him to the world while we are in this life.  Let’s see all of this for what it truly is and get busy being about the Father’s business.

I will remind every Christian that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared to the glory that is to come.  This is our for such a time as this moment, welcome to Christianity for the 21st century !!!
