This beyond any doubt is one of the most difficult times in life for most Christians. It is equally hard for the parents as it is the teenagers who are trying to become adults. Our primary role as parents is to always point them to a growing dependency on they’re Heavenly Father. We must decrease so that He can increase. This post by William Smith is very helpful:
“Every parents I’ve met has felt frustrated by repeatedly stumbling into difficult conversations with their teenage children. Those conversations seem to come out of nowhere, pack lots of energy, and leave everyone bruised and tiptoeing around each other . . . until the next one.”
